CMIL Team at SPIE Medical Imaging 2026, Vancouver, Canada

The CMIL team presented four abstracts at SPIE Medical Imaging 2026 conference held in Vancouver, Canada. Their work collectively highlighted advances in AI-driven computational pathology, including tools for consensus-based annotation, deep learning approaches for cell type prediction in lung tissue, and pathomics-based models for predicting kidney disease progression and outcomes.

Of these, two abstracts were selected for platform presentations, while the remaining two were presented as posters. Notably, one of the poster presentations received a Best Poster Award, recognizing the team’s outstanding contribution. In addition to these achievements, Dr. Sarder served as chair for two conference sessions, highlighting his leadership and recognition within the community.
