Heather Kates, Bioinformatician III at the University of Florida, presented “FUSION: Biological Insight from Pathomics and Molecular Data” at the HuBMAP Annual Meeting in Rockville, Maryland. During her session, she provided a live demonstration of FUSION, a web-based platform developed by Dr. Sarder’s lab that integrates multi-omics data with histology, enabling researchers to jointly analyze tissue morphology and molecular composition. The presentation highlighted how FUSION empowers scientists to interactively explore spatial biological data and gain deeper insights into tissue architecture and function, supporting the broader goals of the NIH Human BioMolecular Atlas Program (HuBMAP).
