HuBMAP March Demo Day

We are thrilled to extend an invitation to join us for the HuBMAP March Demo Day. This in-person meeting is scheduled for March 14-15, 2024, and will be hosted at the UF Health Research and Academic Center – Lake Nona, located at 6550 Sanger Rd, Orlando, FL 32827.

The primary objective of March’s Demo Days is to review the current state of the HuBMAP Consortium and identify areas of improvement moving forward. The focus will be on addressing any gaps between tools produced by HIVEs and the data from various TMCs, as well as enhancing the usability of data in the portal. We will review our action items and key takeaways from the September Demo Days, emphasizing cross-HIVE & -TMC collaboration. Then, the central themes for the next round of collaborative project planning and future publications will be discussed. Demonstrations of current tools for integration, visualization, and enhancement of HuBMAP Data from the HIVEs will be followed by an analysis of the assays and data types generated by the TMCs. These ideas will be consolidated through a consortium-wide discussion on current gaps and possible solutions. Our next set of discussion items will be centered around specific themes from the NIH and segueing into the May Annual Meeting. By the conclusion of March Demo Days, the aim is to present a vision for Year 3, outlining preparations needed for the next round of HuBMAP publications, their relationship to what is currently available on the portal and usability of HuBMAP data by the community.

All HuBMAP participants are cordially invited to attend, and NIH strongly encourages all awardees (particularly TMC/TTD awardees) to designate a representative (or two) for the Demo Day meetings.

Directions:

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the closest airport to the Lake Nona Campus.

Arriving from Orlando International Airport (West Entrance):

  1. Start South: Head south from Orlando International Airport, taking the south airport exit towards Boggy Creek Rd./417.
  2. Along Boggy Creek Rd.: Continue on State Hwy 527A/Boggy Creek Rd. for about 4 miles.
  3. Turn at Lake Nona Blvd.: Make a right turn onto Lake Nona Blvd after approximately 330 feet.
  4. Towards Medical City Dr.: Follow Lake Nona Blvd for 1.3 miles, then turn right onto Medical City Dr.
  5. Final Turn onto Sanger Rd.: After traveling 0.1 mile, turn right at the first intersection onto Sanger Rd. The center is on your left.

Arriving from 417-N (East Entrance):

  1. Exit at Lake Nona Blvd.: Take exit 19 from 417-N towards Lake Nona Blvd.
  2. Fork Decision: Stay right at the fork after 0.3 miles, following signs for Lake Nona Blvd South, and merge onto Lake Nona Blvd.
  3. Proceed on Lake Nona Blvd.: Continue for 1.3 miles to Medical Center Drive.
  4. Turn onto Sanger Rd.: Turn right onto Sanger Rd after 0.1 miles. The UF Research and Academic Center will be on your left.
  5. Parking Instructions: Park in the back parking lot and enter through the doors facing the lot. Check in with the receptionist in the front lobby.
