Suhas, an AI engineer in Dr. Sarder’s lab, earned the runner-up award for his SPIE Medical Imaging 2025 poster on ComPRePS 2.0, a distributed computing framework enhancing scalability and efficiency in renal histopathological analysis.

Harishwar, a second-year Ph.D. student in Dr. Sarder’s lab, presented “Explainable Feature Embeddings from Histopathology Foundation Models: A Case Study for End-Stage Kidney Disease Risk Analysis in Diabetic Nephropathy Patients” at SPIE Medical Imaging 2025, highlighting AI-driven insights for kidney disease prognosis.

Akshita, a 3rd-year Ph.D. student in Dr. Sarder’s lab, presented “Enhancing Predictive Accuracy of Allograft Outcomes: Beyond Traditional Clinical and Biopsy Scoring Methods” at SPIE Medical Imaging 2025, showcasing advanced approaches to improve transplant outcome predictions.

Jamie, a 3rd-year Ph.D. student in Dr. Sarder’s lab, presented “Renal Cell Type and State Estimation in Brightfield Histology Images: A Pilot Study on Diabetic Nephropathy” at SPIE Medical Imaging 2025, highlighting computational advances in kidney pathology.

Dr. Afsari, a postdoctoral scholar at Dr. Sarder’s lab, presented “A Machine Learning Approach for Analyzing Texture and Morphometry Markers of Glioblastoma TERT Promoter Mutations in DAPI Fluorescence Images” at SPIE Medical Imaging 2025, showcasing AI-driven insights for improved diagnosis and prognosis.

Dr. Mimar, a senior software engineer at Dr. Sarder’s lab, presented “Cell Type Prediction for Intestine Tissue Samples from Brightfield Histology via Deep Learning” at SPIE Medical Imaging 2025, highlighting AI-driven advancements in histopathological analysis.

Ishaq Ansari, a 2024 summer intern at Dr. Sarder’s lab, presented “An AI-Based Pipeline for Automatic Quantification of Tissue Ingrowth in Histopathology Images of Cerebral Aneurysm” at SPIE Medical Imaging 2025, showcasing AI advancements in cerebral aneurysm analysis.
